Steam-in-Place (SIP) Connectors

View SIP Connector Products

Create a sterile link between pre-sterilized bag systems or tube sets and stainless process equipment with CPC Steam-Thru® Connections (STC). Steam-Thru SIP Connectors offer an innovative three-port design that maximizes sterility assurance by eliminating “dead legs” and allowing steam to pass directly through the connection to “steam on” to stainless equipment.

With a “steam on” and “steam off” capability, STC II Steam-in-Place (SIP) Connectors deliver a sterile connection and sterile disconnection without the need for a laminar flow hood. Steam-Thru II Connectors reduce the potential of microbial contamination of the process flow path, as well as environmental contamination within manufacturing facilities.

Integrated AseptiQuik® Sterile Connectors with Steam-Thru SIP Connectors

For maximum design flexibility, AseptiQuik  STC Connectors integrate an AseptiQuik Sterile Connector with a  Steam-Thru II SIP Connector for increased flexibility between hybrid stainless steel and single-use processing equipment. Biopharma processing and manufacturing engineers can choose AseptiQuik STC Connectors with genderless design (AseptiQuik G Series or AseptiQuik S Series) or incorporate a keyed female-to-male connection (AseptiQuik C Series), depending on configuration at the aseptic connector end.

Processes and Applications Where CPC Steam-Thru Connectors Fit

  • Single-use assemblies
  • Steam-In-Place (SIP) applications
  • Sterile transfer of liquids
  • Connection to single-use containers and stainless-steel systems
  • Multi-use to single-use connection

The union of the two connectors into a single unit through a sanitary clamp allows an AseptiQuik sterile connection to be steamed onto stainless equipment via SIP. After the SIP cycle, a wide range of single-use systems can be connected. The SIP process can be done in advance allowing a quick and easy sterile connection to the AseptiQuik Connector half without having to wait 30-60 minutes for SIP prior to harvest.

Benefits of CPC AseptiQuik Sterile Connectors with Steam-Thru Connections

  • Icon Increased flexibility when using hybrid stainless steel and single-use processing equipment
  • Icon Mount directly to stainless steel processing equipment via a sanitary termination
  • Icon Genderless design or keyed female-to-male connection at the aseptic connector end
  • Icon Simple 3-step connection process that reduces operator error
  • Icon Patented valve design for sterile connections and disconnections to stainless equipment
  • Icon Sanitary interface between two sterile connectors for a more secure connection than tubing with ties
  • Icon Allows the SIP process to be done in advance allowing a quick and easy sterile connection to the AseptiQuik Sterile Connector half without having to wait 30-60 minutes for SIP prior to harvest
